In 2015, I left the West without truly knowing what I was searching for. After a few days, I arrived in Mkuru, a Maasai village in northern Tanzania. I didn’t know it yet, but I was coming home.
Over the next ten years, I returned nine times. People became family. Faces changed, children grew, and wrinkles began to tell the story of time. With Philipo, a friendship was born that turned into concrete action: the village’s first water distribution system, a vegetable garden, and two solar-powered wells. Water reached places where there had once only been waiting.
Sister Water is the story of a deep bond between cultures that are distant, yet unexpectedly close. It is a story of trust, responsibility, and mutual transformation.
It is a journey into what truly matters.
